Boys 2-6

At the age of 2 most children have grown out of the cot and nursery, so its time for a big kid’s bed and with that comes the big kid’s room. This really should be a fun time for all of you.

When your child is up and running, a sturdy bed and a good-quality mattress that gives a growing body the support it needs to rest and grow comfortably -- and will also survive the occasional " jumping on the bed."

Experts advise replacing mattresses at least every ten years, so if you have to choose between a supportive new mattress and a new bed frame, choose the former.

When you go mattress shopping, take your youngster along so they can test several mattresses in the price range you've selected. Every body is different, so let your child try out several choices. A mattress used every day for a decade should be one your child will find comfortable from the start.

When decorating the bedroom remember that a child will change their mind often so don’t go overboard with ultra trendy choices that they will outgrow practically overnight. Be sure to use lots of coordinating paints and fun patterns. If your child is creative and loves drawing and painting buy a number of frames and hang them together to create an art gallery of your child’s work from Pre School. Children are proud to see their artwork on display and they usually have some fantastic colours in them.

Boy’s aged 2-6 will most definitely have a fixation with some character whether it is Spiderman, Bob the builder or Scooby Doo. Decorating boy’s bedrooms with licensed characters and themes is an easy but expensive option, there are more affordable ways to achieve a similar desired result.
